BIG STATE SPORTS GIRLS ICE HOCKEY ALL-STATE TEAM

It was a brilliant season of Girls’ Ice Hockey in New Jersey. We saw a record 15 teams hit the rinks all across the state, three cup titles earned, and a new state champion crowned. With the NJSIAA’s sanctioning of Girls’ Ice Hockey as an official varsity sport beginning in the 2024-25 season, the best is surely to come for one of the more talent-rich sports in the state. And speaking of talent, let’s see who made the cut in Big State Sports’ inaugural Girls Ice Hockey All-State Team:

Zack Smolen

Zack Smolen is a Play-By-Play broadcaster hailing from Essex County who's taken his talents across the nation. He's been the man behind the mic for baseball teams from Florida to Washington, and has held media and front office positions with the New Jersey Jackals. He is currently one of the many fabulous voices at this network, as well as the voice of the Jersey Hitmen Junior Hockey Organization.
