October 2025 – New Jersey — Big State Sports is proud to announce it will be televising the Metro Hoops Academy Pre-Season Invitational, a premier basketball showcase featuring some of the most talented high school players in the nation, on Saturday, November 1st. The event will include elite programs such as Christian Brothers Academy, Elizabeth, St. Peter’s Prep, St. Mary’s, Seton Hall Prep, Montgomery, Ridge, Gill St. Bernard’s, Immaculata, Linden, Patrick School, Newark Tech, and Blair Academy.
This invitational will give fans across the country the opportunity to witness New Jersey’s finest four- and five-star recruits and numerous Division I-committed athletes as they compete head-to-head ahead of the upcoming basketball season.
Among the marquee names taking the court are:
- Deron Rippey Jr (Blair) – Five Star Recruit – Class of 2026
- Flory Kuminga (Patrick School) – Five Star Recruit – Class of 2029
- Jaen Chatman (Blair) – Four Star Recruit – Class of 2026, Committed to URI
- Eric Hillsman (Patrick School) – Four Star Recruit – Class of 2026
- Richie Rosa (St. Peter’s Prep) – Four Star Recruit -️ Class of 2026, Committed to Rider University
- Kamsi Awaka (Blair) – Four Star Recruit -️ Class of 2027
- Isaiah Carroll (Blair) – Three Star Recruit – Class of 2026, Committed to Penn
- Ethan Lin (Montgomery) – Three Star Recruit – Class of 2026, Committed to Penn
- Dorsett Mulcahy (Gill St. Bernard’s) – Class of 2026, Committed to Canisius
