CHATHAM, NJ — Jack Schundler, 13, of Chatham won the Slalom title at the New York U14 Alpine Skiing State Championships on March 8, 2026, at Holimont Ski Resort in Ellicottville, New York.
Competing against the top U14 racers from across New York, Schundler posted the fastest combined time, winning by a 3.5 second margin, in the technical slalom discipline to claim the state championship.
Schundler is a member of the Winter4Kids Alpine Race Team (Vernon, NJ) and is a student at Chatham Middle School. The victory caps a strong season of racing and reflects years of training and dedication to alpine ski racing.
Jack’s combined performance across Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom races positions him atop the championship result-based rankings, making him New York’s top selection for the team of 12 boys that will compete at the U14 Eastern Region Championships hosted by Sunday River Resort in Maine.
