Morris County Girls Volleyball Tournament Field Finalized

  • Ola Jankowska (Randolph) – OH

BIGGEST THREAT TO TAKE DOWN RANDOLPH

Without question, the Mount Olive Marauders have been solid all season long. Olivia Drucks and Bella Osoria have been amongst the most efficient players in the county from the opening serve. The most overlooked player on Mount Olive is their libero Ava Diaz, who averages over 5 digs per set. Without Diaz, who knows what the defense would look like or how the offense would flow.

The last time Mount Olive won the Morris County Tournament, they went back-to-back in 2016 and 2017—both against Randolph. Lee Clowers was the head coach and Tom Reszka was the assistant. Fast forward to now and their roles have since flipped, but the Marauders are back to being one of the more dominant teams in the county. The key player for Mount Olive back in those days was Annie Karle, who went for 15 kills and 17 digs in 2016, and then 22 kills and 12 digs in 2017 in the county finals.

PICK TO WIN

Randolph is expected to win, especially with their full cavalry of hitters. The Rams will need to pass and defend well, as every winning team will need to do to win the big game.

RANDOLPH 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 17-25, 25-19)
