1. Newark Arts- The top seeded, 16th ranked Jaguars won their first ever sectional title
    59-56 against second-seeded Newark Collegiate. Arts will face North 1 winner
    Ramsey in the Group 2 state semifinals on Tuesday. Arts was able to defeat Newark
    Collegiate despite Najee Graham scoring a game-high 25 points.
  2. College Archive Asbury Park- 12th ranked CAAP won their first ever Central, Group 1
    championship in their 74-33 rout of fifth seeded Manville. Deuce Jones, a La Salle
    commit scored 22 points in the win for CAAP. This was the first season for the
    College Archive Asbury Park program. CAAP steamrolled its opponents during their
    playoff run so far by a margin of 345-169. They will travel to play against South
    Jersey Group 1 winner Pitman in the Group 1 state semifinals on Wednesday.
  3. Manasquan- Jason Larned hit the game-winning three-pointer to help lift the top-
    seeded Warriors over third-seeded Rumson-Fair Haven. Manasquan captured their
    fifth consecutive sectional title in the low-scoring 36-30 win. The Warriors will travel
    to play No.3 ranked Camden in the Group 2 semifinals on Tuesday.
  4. Newark Technology- The third-seeded Terriers upset top-seeded Hoboken 65-59
    with clutch free throw shooting and great defense at the end. Junior guard Malcolm
    Bragg scored 24 points to lead Tech. Newark Tech defeated Hoboken for the second
    straight year in the North 2, Group 1 sectional finals. The Terriers will face Paterson
    Charter in the Group 1 state semifinals on Wednesday at Bloomfield.
  5. Ramsey- The top-seeded Rams defeated third-seeded Vernon 42-38 in the North
    Jersey Section 1, Group 2 finals. Vernon was making their first sectional final
    appearance in school history. Senior Michael Burnius led Ramsey with a game-high
    17 points to help them capture their fourth consecutive sectional title. Ramsey will
    face 16th ranked Newark Arts in the Group 2 semifinals on Tuesday in Elizabeth.

TOP 5 LARGE SCHOOLS (GROUP III, IV, V & NON-PUBLIC)

  1. Don Bosco Prep- The No. 1 ranked Ironmen blew out No.5 ranked Hudson Catholic 67-44 in
    the North Jersey Non-Public A Semifinals. Senior Guard Dylan Harper, a Rutgers commit, led
    Don Bosco Prep with 26 points. Harper outdueled Tahaad Pettiford, an Auburn commit.
    Pettiford was forced to leave the game after injuring his left knee. Don Bosco Prep will face
    No.4 ranked St. Peters Prep, the defending champion, in the Non-Public A finals on Monday.
  2. St Peters Prep- Sophomore guard Richie Rosa nailed a buzzer beating foul-line jumper to send
    the second seeded and No.4 ranked Marauders to a 53-51 victory over sixth-seeded and
    seventh-ranked Bergen Catholic. St Peters Prep defeated Bergen Catholic in the Non-Public A
    semifinals. The Marauders will look for their second straight sectional championship when
    they face top-seeded and second-ranked Don Bosco Prep on Monday.
  3. Ramapo- The top-seeded Raiders defeated second seeded Northern Highlands 50-34 in the
    North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 finals. Senior Guard Peyton Seals paced Ramapo with 19
    points. Ramapo limited Northern Highlands to just 12 points in the first half. Ramapo will
    travel to face Colonia in the Group 3 Semifinals on Wednesday at Bloomfield.
  4. Montgomery- The top-seeded and 10 th ranked Cougars dominated against second-seeded
    Monroe 63-37 in the Central Jersey, Group 4 final. Montgomery captured their first sectional
    championship since 2010 and delivered coach Kris Grundy’s 300th career win. Senior Steve
    Donahue led Montgomery with a game-high 24 points. The Cougars won their four playoff
    games by an average of 28 points a game. Montgomery will host Lenape in the Group 4
    semifinals on Tuesday.
  5. Union Catholic- The second-seeded and defending champion Vikings routed third-seeded
    Rutgers Prep 77-55 in the South Jersey, Non-Public A Semifinals. Senior Elijah Peters scored a
    game-high 23 points for Union Catholic. Union Catholic will face fifth-seeded Paul VI in the
    South Jersey, Non-Public A finals on Monday. Paul VI upset top-seeded Christian Brothers in
    the semifinals.
