TOP 5 SMALL SCHOOLS (Group I & II)

1. Madison- The Dodgers are on a four-game winning streak in 2024. They had an impressive 75-65 win over division rival Parsippany Hills. The win was critical as Parsippany Hills sits right behind Madison in the division standings. Junior Evan Colao has been very consistent for Madison during their streak. Colao has drained 18 points in two of the four games. The Dodgers own a 10-2 record and are in striking distance of 12-0 Morris Catholic. 

2. High Point- The Wildcats have won two straight games in the past week. High Point dominated Kittatinny 69-40 and survived a scare against Morris Tech 42-34. Senior Brayden Franko performed well in the win over Morris Tech. Franko scored 17 points and made seven free throws.

3. Sussex Tech- The Mustangs extended their winning streak to five games with a commanding 64-39 victory over struggling Morris Tech. Sussex Tech blew past Morris Tech with a huge 22-point 4th quarter. Senior Anthony Schneider scored a career-high 13 points and made three 3-pointers. 

4. Hackettstown- The Tigers defeated Lenape Valley 54-43 to win their third straight game. Senior Ryan Due carried his team to victory. Due was unconscious in this one. He scored a game-high 34 points and knocked down 7 3’s! Hackettstown is on top of the Freedom Division with a 6-3 record. Jefferson is knocking at the door with a 5-3 record.

5. North Warren- The Patriots have rebounded to win three straight games. They had lost the first two games to start the new year. Senior Christian Otufale starred in the 50-40 victory over Hopatcong. Otufale scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. He made the most shots in his career with 12.

TOP 5 LARGE SCHOOLS (GROUP IIIIVV & NON-PUBLIC)

1. Morris Catholic- The Crusaders have continued to dominate their schedule. They remain the only unbeaten team left in the NJAC Conference at 12-0. Morris Catholic reached and eclipsed the century mark for the first time this season. That stand-out performance occurred in their 101-54 drubbing of Kinnelon. The Crusaders jumped out to a 30-8 lead and never looked back. Five of Morris Catholic’s players scored in double figures. 

2. Delbarton- The Green Wave won a wild one against Oratory Prep 50-49. Both teams came into the game boasting great records above .500. Senior Lincoln Zimmermann’s late bucket with eight seconds left pushed Delbarton to the exhilarating win. The victory extended Delbarton’s winning streak to four and their overall record at 10-1. 

3. Mendham- The Minutemen have been playing an outstanding brand of basketball lately. They are currently on a six-game winning streak. Mendham eked out a tough 46-45 win over rival Chatham. Mendham Junior guard Kevin King led all scorers with 27 points.King was at it again when the Minutemen routed Newton 54-21. King had 20 points in that matchup.

4. Parsippany Hills- The Vikings have struggled a bit in the past week. They lost two of their three games in the week. Parsippany Hills got back on track with a much needed convincing 68-50 win over rival Parsippany. Senior guard Julio Tatis paced all scorers with 20 points.

5. Morris Hills- The Scarlet Knights are rolling. They have won their past four games in decisive fashion. In their most recent 60-40 victory over Hopatcong, Junior guard Eshaan Bhansali scored a career-high 21 points. He made three 3-pointers as well. This four-game winning streak has catapulted Morris Hills into second place in the National Division. Only their division record separates them and Morris Knolls from first place.
