The puck is set to drop for all three New Jersey Girls Ice Hockey Cups this afternoon. Last night saw Randolph punch their ticket to the Annis semifinal against Hoboken-Weehawken-Secaucus, while a 2025 State Finals rematch should produce a thrilling result in the Librera Semifinal. The Garden State has been flushed with talent all season long, and below we’ll list six players (three forwards, two defenders, one goalie) who will be prime movers in their team’s respective cup runs. (And you can watch the finals of all three of these cup playoffs for FREE on Thursday, February 19th on our YouTube channel!)
Annis
Hoboken-Weehawken-Secaucus: Penelope Campo (F)
When Senior Superstar Marina Boyajian went down a few weeks ago, Campo stepped up in a big way. Since Boyajian’s injury, Campo has put together a stat line of nine goals, ten assists, and 19 points, catapulting herself to second place in the state in scoring (49 points). Included in that run, was a gaudy 11 point performance against divisional and expansion rival Morristown as a part of a 12-2 thrashing to aid in their securing of the top spot in the cup playoffs. Though she wasn’t a part of the boy’s team that won the McMullen Cup last season, Campo certainly has the pedigree of a clutch performer who, if needed, can carry her team to her division’s ultimate prize.
Morristown: Eloise Downes (F)
The Brown University lacrosse commit has shown that she’s just as skilled on ice than she is on turf. The senior forward has amassed nearly 30 goals in just a handful of games, including five games of at least five goals. Her seven score performance against HWS, was the prime factor in Morristown’s most important win of the season, taking down the division champs 9-8. Downes is talented enough that her team will go as far as she takes them in this tournament.
Cohen
Trinity Hall: Katie Cisar (G)
You could play any hockey video game on the easiest difficulty mode and still not put up the numbers that Cisar has posted in her career. This season in particular has been her magnum opus, with a 13-5-0 record to go along with a 1.22 GAA, .963 save percentage, and a ridiculous NINE shutouts. Her stellar netminding hasn’t been all about compiling stats either, she’s been the backbone of several key victories including a 41 save performance in the Frozen Dreams Invitational Final against HWS, and most recently a 28 save shutout in a 1-0 victory over Madison. It’s hard to lose when you don’t give up goals, and Cisar is looking to be the keystone to the Monarchs’ second-straight Cohen Cup title.
Chatham-Millburn-Livingston: Alex Donoghue (F/D)
The state’s new goal queen (137 career scores and counting), will look to add a Cohen Cup to her increasingly crowded trophy case. In her illustrious two-sport career, Donoghue has already captured four Morris County Tournament championships, and two Group III State titles on the pitch, and has both the skill and winning pedigree to led her tri-op to a Cohen Cup raising. Alex has been particularly good as of late, helping propel her squad to a 5-0-1 stretch against Cohen opponents, scoring 22 goals, and adding eight assists in those contests. Momentum can be everything in postseason hockey, and with Donoghue leading the charge, CML looks to have a very good chance at their first cup.
Librera
Morristown-Beard: Reid Snyder (D)
Throughout her four-year career in crimson and black, Snyder has been the gold standard for what it means to be a star player in New Jersey Girls Ice Hockey. In each season, she’s dished out at least 10 assists, and help lead her team to at least double digit victories, contributing massively on offense and the blue line. And this may be her best season yet. In her high school hockey swan song, Snyder has collected her 100th point, while setting new career-highs in assists (24), and points (41), and is just two away from tying her high water mark of 19 goals. The way she’s playing right now perfectly illustrates an individual who’s ready to help her program return to it’s former glory as the beacon on a hill for girls ice hockey. Mo-Beard is currently in a two season cup championship and state title drought, once though of as impossible given their dominance in year’s past. Snyder looks poised to help end both as a parting gift to her program.
Kent Place: Molly Brozowski (D)
If there’s one thing we’ve learned in the past four years, it’s that Molly Brozowski knows how to score goals. Since the spring of 2025, Molly has scored 35 goals in lacrosse, 32 in field hockey, and another 37 this hockey season. For those keeping score at home that’s a staggering 104 goals in less than a calendar year across three sports at a school that consistently squares off against elite competition. As a part of this year’s hockey campaign, she’s amassed 47 points, with 53% of them coming against Librera opponents. Her scoring prowess is matched only by Alex Donoghue — the only person who has scored more goals in NJ girls ice hockey (137 over 131) — and has no equal in the division. If her Dragons can tighten up the defense around her just a touch, they could have a legitimate shot of becoming upset Librera Champs as the #4 seed.
